TeamSESH is an independent music collective and label founded by Michigan-born rapper BONES (Elmo Kennedy O'Connor) in 2013.
Rather than functioning like a conventional rap group, TeamSESH became an ecosystem: artists, producers, engineers, photographers, designers and other collaborators operating around a shared DIY philosophy.
The aesthetic became inseparable from the music: grayscale imagery, VHS degradation, computer-era graphics, skeletal iconography, lo-fi textures, dark photography and the instantly recognizable SESH identity.
BONES built a huge catalog while remaining outside the traditional major-label machine. Free releases, direct fan communication, self-managed distribution and an almost absurd level of output became part of the mythology.
Elmo O'Connor begins releasing music online under the name Th@ Kid, establishing the extremely DIY foundation that would later become associated with BONES and TeamSESH.
The Th@ Kid alias gives way to BONES, and the catalog begins expanding at a remarkable pace.
BONES establishes TeamSESH as an independent collective/label, with producers and collaborators becoming a major part of the project's identity.
BONES, Xavier Wulf, Chris Travis and Eddy Baker become associated through the SESHOLLOWATERBOYZ alliance, bringing together TeamSESH, Hollow Squad, Water Boyz and Healthy Boyz.
BONES' influence expands beyond the underground, including the A$AP Rocky connection around "Canal St." while TeamSESH remains structurally independent.
TeamSESH continues releasing music, maintaining its producer-heavy ecosystem and underground identity while BONES continues an unusually large solo catalog.
TeamSESH's SoundCloud remains active, with TeamSESH releases appearing in 2025–2026 and the collective's official merch infrastructure continuing online.
